Psychotherapy

Being alive means being in a relationship.

Relationship with your yourself (your body, mind, psyche..), with your parents, siblings, friends and enemies, with every single person that you meet at work or on the street, with animals, nature… Entering psychotherapy you begin a new relationship, one in which there is potential to heal wounds from other relationships in your life and to develop and test new ways of being in the world.

As your therapist I will be available for you every week for an hour. Same day, same time. The hour will be solely about you and what you bring with you. I will listen to and respect everything what you say. I will be curious and will ask questions so you can find your answers, though I will rarely give you advice. I will encourage you to cry when I see a tear and to express your anger when I sense it in the room. You may want to shout, hit a pillow or draw angrily on a piece of paper until you make a hole in it. We may sit in silence when there will be no words to be spoken and for sure, we will laugh together too.

I will challenge you when I notice a discrepancy between what you say and what your body and breath tell me. You know, when you say ‘I’m fine’ but your body is tense and you clench your fists, or when you hold your breath and are on the verge of crying. I will trust your body more than your words.

You may choose to come to see me because of deep sadness, grief, anxiety or depression. You may be feeling unhappy or numb despite ‘having it all’ or struggling with a sudden change in your life; change of work, relationship, new parenthood… You may struggle to find a reason to carry on living or you may ‘just’ want to talk to someone because you get a sense that you are surviving in life and you would like to thrive instead.

Whatever your reason, I am happy to hear from you. Call or email me and we will arrange an initial meeting, a consultation. We will talk for 50 minutes and you will tell me as much or as little as you want about yourself and what have brought you to see me. You will ask me any questions you may have and I will answer them. Then, I will tell you a little bit more about how I work and what you can expect if you choose to work with me. By the end of the meeting you will have a sense if I am the right therapist for you; whether or not you feel safe in my presence and feel ‘a connection’. After speaking with you I too, will have a sense if I could be of help to you and if not, I may refer you to a colleague of mine, if you wish.

You may tell me then that you would like to book a following session or you may want to go home and think about it. It is important to choose a therapist consciously because you will enter emotionally intimate relationship with her or him.

My current fee for new clients is £40 for the initial meeting and £60 for the following weekly sessions. Each session lasts 50 minutes.

Once we decide that we would like to work together, we will arrange time and day to meet on a regular basis and the journey will begin. Psychotherapy can last anything from 6 weeks to several years, depending on the issue you would like to address and kind of support you are looking for. You have lived for 30, 40, 60 years.. it takes more than a week to untangled all the wires. Be patient and gentle with yourself.

I am an integrative holistic psychotherapist and I have extended knowledge in Breathwork, Systemic Constellations, Voice Dialogue, dream analysis and other therapeutic modalities. Integrative means that I incorporate everything that I know into my work with you. I won’t try to lock you in one particular therapeutic approach, instead I will be fully present when sitting with you, listening carefully to what you say and do. If I feel it called for I may offer you an exercise, or a box of pastels and a sheet of paper to draw on. I may ask to speak with a part of you, the Voice in you that is afraid or highly critical of something that you do. Whatever we do, you will have my unconditional support (with exception of you putting yourself or the other in life threatening danger, which I will explain in detail when we meet). Holistic means that I treat your mind, body and psyche as equally important and I engage with the three during our work together. Additionally, If I think that you may benefit from something else than I can offer, I will mention it to you. I hold a list of various practitioners that I trust; a nutritionist, homeopath, osteopath, massage therapist and more. I am happy to refer you to any of them to support your wellbeing.

I think that’s enough about me and my work. If you would like to know more, please call me on 07799 650 999 or email me at I am looking forward to hear from you.
